The trick is with the first scale because we don't use its equation for the answer. We use only the second scale where 1 hexagon is equal to 3 small triangles. and 6 small triangles will be equal to two hexagons. (We don't know which is the order of equivalence between the hexagon and the big triangle.)
Looks at a scale with missing weight(s) and chooses the response option that keeps the scale balanced.
